What You Might Find on Our List
If you're reading this, you are probably thinking about buying us a gift (or you're nosy). First of all, thank you. Second, things may appear a bit random. Cooking? Camping? A kitchen sink? What the what?! A bit of background: Last August we were fortunate enough to purchase our first home... well apartment... well shares of a co-op that correspond to a unit in a building. We love it. So you may find some weird home improvement type items in anticipation of a renovation to bring our 100 year old apartment up to date.
In this apartment we make heavy use of the kitchen. We both love to cook and have a few kitchen things that we would enjoy. If you haven't noticed the french bulldog on the other pages, that's Bolt. He's responsible for the need for high mileage synthetic oil in our car. He's too big to fit under an airplane seat, he can't fly baggage, and he can't feed and walk himself. So when we travel for the holidays and go on vacation we load up the Prius and head out on usually 13 hour drives to Chicago, South Carolina, or Cincinnati. Outdoors and travel-like items are partly to help accommodate our new lifestyle of ground transportation, but also its to expand our weekend getaway options. We live a couple of hours from some of the most beautiful places to camp in the United States and we finally are going to force ourselves to take advantage.
You certainly don't have to buy us a gift, and if nothing on a registry strikes your fancy, gift cards, cash, real estate, bequests in your will, and mortgage payments will not be considered "impersonal." ;-) Alternately there is a renovation fund set up on the registry where all the gifts will go directly to materials and labor. But really we're really just happy to have you as friends and family.
